Hello Everyone, My name is Lorelei. I've bee to steamcon three times. Both last year and this year I participated in Rise of Aster roleplays and I loved them. However in years past I wasn't sure how to continue. I was hoping that this year I could join the LARP, since I had so much fun in the past. You might recognize me as Dr. Wilpoole on the second day who was uncouncious most of the game. Or better yet as the Spaztic blonde thieving ninja that moved uncouncious bodies into the main room and looted their corpses, stole the map, lent out her mask and was the bodygaurd of Mr.Coin.

I would very much like to participate at the meetup "Battle or New New Orleans" On noverber first but I am unsure as to how I could create a character. Also would it be better to create a character or should I be an NPC or Minion since will be my first LARP with you guys.

Greetings!

An NPC would be an excellent way to get more comfortable with the game, and we certainly could use them for our game on 11/12, if you are willing to play one. The other advantage to playing an NPC is that you could take some time to get a feel for what you might want to play in our particular game, especially as we are starting a brand new chronicle in January (though many of the same characters would be in play). You would still earn experience towards your eventual PC by playing as an NPC-you would be able to start the game with an extra skill at the "FAIR" level.

In the meantime, check out my "Building a better character thread" for character creation hints. It doesn't have any of the rules for the mechanical build, which is simple, but it may help you get a better idea of what type of character you'd like to make before you assign skills.

I would be glad to talk out character ideas with you as well. Do you attend the Steamrats meetups?

No.. I don't know what that is. Whats a Steamrat meetup? O.o But yes I would be willing to be an NPC, sounds like a very good idea.

AH. Okay.... that sounds interesting. SO it would be like about mmore of the stories and stuff, and fashion an all details rather just roleplay? Also should I email you or something for more information on becoming and NPC for the roleplay.
