If there were any difficulties, it seemed to be on the behalf of those far too exhausted to kickstart their brains long enough to pull up the file on how to use a screwdriver. Honestly, I'm surprised some people made it through Con.

However, to answer your question: Yes, it worked wonderfully. The only thing I'd recommend is that we try to develop a cool gizmo that raises and lowers the gate, or at least aids in doing so by removing some of the burden should someone be carrying something. Would be nifty, and just the job for the right kind of tinker'er.

Note to self: Locate Vintage Cash-Register.

I think I saw a foot rail in the list of planned features but don't remember one being at con. Am I mistaken or has it just not gone up yet?

The problem with a foot rail was in the requested size of the bar.
Footrails go onto bars that you sit at. They are generally shorter.
The 4' bar is a standing bar so you put a hand rail.

There was also the request of a waterfall spittoon but I couldn't bring myself to making a spit catcher. It just oogs me out

I think I have a spare pulley somewhere that I can attach to a counterweight for the gate. However, it would require adding more things to the top of the bar (which would lessen the working space up top) and it will have to wait until after I recover from Halloween.

Ah, misunderstood what you were doing. For the record, foot rails were also found in saloons for people standing around to rest their feet on. I don't have any sources on hand but I can find a few reference pictures if you like. Also, love what you've done so far.
